Privacy Policy
Lineup is an app for creators who make videos for brand campaigns, and for the brand teams who run those campaigns. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the choices you have.
Lineup is operated by Ditch.la LLC (“Lineup”, “we”, “us”). This policy covers the Lineup iPhone app, the Lineup API that powers it and this website. Questions go to support@lineupugc.com.
1. What we collect
Account
- Your email address, the display name you choose and your password. We store the password only as a one-way hash, never in readable form.
- The information needed for two-step verification, which is required for brand team members who can manage payouts and available to everyone on the brand team.
Profile you fill in
- Your legal name, phone number and shipping address. These are encrypted in our database.
- Your clothing and shoe sizes, so brands can send product that fits.
- Your profile photo, and your TikTok and Instagram handles.
Videos and campaign activity
- Videos you upload, plus captions, post links and anything else you add to a submission.
- The history of your submissions: when you sent them, the brand's decision and its feedback.
- Messages between you and a brand team in the app.
- Product requests you make and their shipping status.
- Your acceptance of each brand's creator program terms, with the version and time.
Connected TikTok and Instagram accounts
Connecting is optional. If you connect an account, we receive an access token from TikTok or Instagram and store it encrypted. We use it to read your account ID, username and (for Instagram) account type, and to check whether the posts you submitted to a campaign are still live and how they perform (views, likes, comments, shares and similar counts). To find a post you submitted we look through your recent posts; we keep information only for the posts you submitted to a campaign. We never post on your behalf. See TikTok and Instagram data deletion for details.
Earnings and payouts
- Records of what each approved video earned and of payouts made to you.
- When in-app payouts are on for your brand, they're made through Stripe Connect. Stripe collects your bank details, tax information and identity verification directly in its own forms. We don't receive or store your full bank account number; we receive your Stripe account's status and payout results.
Device and service information
- Sign-in sessions on each device, with the device's app version, a shortened IP address and the browser or device type.
- A push notification token if you allow notifications, and the notifications we send you.
- Crash and error reports, filtered to remove names, email addresses and contact details; reports carry only a random account ID.
- A record of important actions in your account (an audit log), such as sign-ins, approvals and changes to payout details, to keep accounts secure and resolve disputes.
Information from brands
If you worked with a brand before it moved to Lineup, the brand may have imported your existing creator record (for example your name, handles and past submissions) so your history carries over.
2. What we don't collect
- We don't use your device's advertising identifier and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We don't collect your location, your contacts or audio from your microphone.
- The app uses your camera and photo library only when you choose a profile photo or a video to upload.
- We don't use third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this website or in the app.
3. How we use it
- To run your account: sign-in, password reset codes by email and session management.
- To run brand programs: show you campaigns, receive and review your videos, check that posted videos stay live, ship product and calculate earnings.
- To pay you: when in-app payouts are on for your brand, create and manage your payouts through Stripe.
- To send notifications and emails about your submissions, products, earnings and account.
- To keep Lineup secure and working: prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our terms, fix bugs and keep records the law requires.
4. What brands see
Each brand on Lineup sees only the creators in its own program. A brand you work with sees your profile (including shipping address and sizes when it needs to ship product), your submissions and their performance, your messages with its team and your earnings from that brand. Other creators in the same program may see your display name, photo and rank on that brand's leaderboard. Brands use this information under their own creator program terms and privacy practices, which you see and accept in the app.
5. Service providers
We share information with companies that run parts of Lineup for us, only as needed for that job:
| Provider | What it does |
|---|---|
| Render | Hosts the Lineup API and database. |
| Cloudflare | Stores uploaded videos and photos (R2), hosts this website and protects our services. |
| Stripe | Payout accounts, identity and tax checks, and payouts. |
| Shopify | Creates product orders in the brand's store so it can ship product to you. |
| Resend | Sends email such as password reset codes. |
| Expo and Apple | Deliver push notifications to your iPhone. |
| Sentry | Receives crash and error reports, carrying only a random account ID. |
| TikTok and Meta (Instagram) | Only if you connect an account: provide your profile, posts and post stats. |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
6. No selling or ad sharing
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we handle it as described on Delete your account. Some information has a shorter, fixed period:
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Device details on sign-in sessions (shortened IP address, device type, app version) | Cleared after 90 days |
| Bulk video downloads made by brand teams | Deleted after 24 hours |
| Profile, video files and connected accounts | Until you delete them or your account |
| Earnings, payouts, submission records (including captions and post links), messages with brand teams and the audit log | Kept after account deletion as long as tax, accounting and legal obligations require, with your name and contact details removed |
8. Your choices and rights
- See and correct. Edit your profile, sizes and address in Settings at any time.
- Download a copy. Creators: in the app, go to Settings, then Download my data, to get a copy of your account information.
- Delete. Creators: in the app, go to Settings, then Delete account. If you can't use the app, or you're a brand team member, follow these steps.
- Disconnect social accounts. Disconnect TikTok or Instagram in Settings, or remove Lineup's access from TikTok or Instagram directly.
- Notifications. Turn push notifications on or off in iOS Settings.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights, such as to object to or restrict some uses, or to complain to your local data protection authority. Email support@lineupugc.com to make any request. We'll respond within the time the law requires.
9. California residents
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you these rights:
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, described in this policy. Creators can use Download my data to get a copy; brand team members can ask by email.
- Right to delete your personal information, with the legal exceptions described in section 7.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We don't sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We use sensitive information (such as your account sign-in and the financial information Stripe holds) only to provide the service you asked for, which the law permits.
- Right not to be discriminated against for using any of these rights.
In the past 12 months we collected the categories described in section 1: identifiers (such as email and handles), customer records (name, phone, address), commercial information (product orders and earnings), internet activity (sessions and app usage within Lineup), and audio-visual content (your videos and photo). We don't draw inferences about you beyond your rank on a brand's leaderboard. Sources, purposes and recipients are described above. You can make a request in the app or by email, or through an authorized agent. We'll verify your identity by confirming control of your account email before acting.
10. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption of sensitive fields such as your legal name, phone, address and social account tokens, hashed passwords, limits on sign-in attempts, two-step verification for brand team members who can manage payouts, strict separation of each brand's data and an audit log of sensitive actions. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires.
11. Where data is stored
Lineup's servers and database are hosted in Singapore, and uploaded files are stored by Cloudflare. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Wherever it's processed, we protect it as this policy describes.
12. Age requirement
Lineup is for people who are at least 18 years old. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe someone under 18 has an account, email support@lineupugc.com and we'll delete it.
13. Changes and contact
If we change this policy we'll update the effective date above, and for important changes we'll also let you know in the app or by email.
